Infants - (6 weeks - 1 year) Infants are special! Each baby is unique; they eat, sleep, laugh, cuddle, and grow up at their own pace. We ask our infant parents to design a schedule in which we do our best to follow. We help our parents to keep track of
their child's schedule by documenting their daily activities, feedings, naps and by sending
home daily report cards. In addition to the schedules supplied by parents the children enrolled in our Infant Program also receive an ample portion of sensory stimulation, fresh air, independence, socialization, and most importantly Tender Loving Care.
Yearlings & Toddlers - (1 - 2 years) Each child has his/her own needs, interests, and characteristics. We are constantly listening to and talking with them. We encourage their social, emotional and language development. We surround them with age-appropriate toys, materials and tools to encourage and enhance their development. Each day our children are exposed to developmentally appropriate activities in various areas including language, thinking, self-help, dramatic play, fine and gross motor skills and exploration. Our Yearling and Toddler Programs have been designed to meet the needs of our children while informally providing them with experiences to help promote growth in areas of motor, social, language, and cognitive development.
Our staff to child ratio in these classrooms are:
1:4 for children under 18 months - 1:6 for children 18 months through 2 years.
Preschool (3 years through
6 years) We are all different. Some 3-6 year olds enjoy making up stories, others prefer to express their creativity by drawing, painting, or building with blocks. Our Preschool program provides our children with quality care in a setting filled with nurturing and understanding. Our aim is to help children grow through creativity, play, sharing and achieving self-awareness and an understanding of others. Our 3-6 year olds partake in many age appropriate activities in Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Arts and Crafts, Music, Computers, Dramatic Play, and Physical Education.
Our staff to child ratio for 3-6 year olds is:
1:9 for 3 year olds - 1:10 for 4 year olds - 1:12 for five &
six year olds.
